Efficient Leaders are the need of the time. Keeping this in mind, to inculcate qualities of leadership, self-reliance, dedication, self-discipline and co-operation among the students, council of Students is constituted every year.

These activities play a very important role to cultivate the creative talents among the students, the school also pays special attention to Hobby Classes such as Classical Dance, Karate, Craft activities etc.

HEMA School students have brought laurels by winning prizes in cultural activities as well as State and National Level Sports and Games competitions.

Sports & games take their rightful place in the lives of students at HEMA Higher Secondary School.
      The benefits of physical activity for the young are manifold. Sports give them the opportunity to develop their physical skills and to remain healthy and active while experiencing the pleasure of achievement. HEMA School students have brought laurels by winning prizes in cultural activities as well as state and national level sports and games competitions.

A Parent Teacher meeting is arranged regularly in school after each terminal examination to appraise the parents of the academic progress of their wards. All parents/guardians are expected to attend to it.

To have the sprit of teamwork and healthy competition among the students, the school is divided into four houses named after great poets Asan, Vallathol, Tagore and Iqbal who have rendered their best efforts to eradicate social evils during their lives. Each house has a senior and junior section under the charge of a House Caption, guided by a tutor. Every House Captain is responsible for the discipline of students of their respective house.
